Know Before You Go

Here is some important information you might need when attending WSAVA 2025 in Rio De Janeiro.

The official WSAVA 2025 Congress Dates are: 25-27 September 2025 and the Congress will officially run in the Brazil Time Zone (UTC-3).

The congress sessions will be primarily in English, however, some tracks will be delivered in Portuguese and Spanish, and some will be translated into Portuguese. All streams and languages will be noted in the upcoming program.

An official personalized letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration process. You will be able to generate an invitation letter at the end of the registration process, and you will also receive a confirmation email with a link to the invitation letter.

This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the scientific program.

During the entire Congress, the attire will be casual and informal.

It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Some travelers might need a visa to enter Brazil. Visa procedures can take time, so make sure you initiate your application promptly to be fully prepared for WSAVA 2025. Find out more

All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

The WSAVA 2025 organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants, either during or indirectly arising from WSAVA. Participants are advised to take out their own personal health and travel insurance for their trip.

PRE-PAID REGISTRATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

Print your name badge at any Self Check-In station located in the registration area during hours listed below.
You can check in using
 one of the following options:

  • Scan the barcode from this email or your Personal Area in the mobile app
  • Use Face Recognition (available if you uploaded a photo during registration)

Please approach EXHIBITION ONLY registration table to collect  your name badge. The Registration table will be located in the registration area and will be operating during hours listed below

 

FACULTY REGISTRATION DESK

Invited speakers in Scientific and Workshop sessions, as well as all session chairs/moderators are kindly requested to visit the Faculty Registration Desk to collect their badges. All other delegates including abstract presenters are kindly requested to follow the prepaid registration procedures above. Thank you for your cooperation!

We are happy to provide translation service from English to Portuguese and Spanish in 4 of the Scientific Halls, these being  halls 101A, 210 BC, 203 BC and 204BC.

Important notice: you would need to bring any form of valid ID (driving license, personal ID card, Passport) to be able to receive the translation headsets, and you would need to leave this form of ID as a security deposit that will be returned to you upon the return of the headsets.

To receive your party ticket for this year’s event, we are continuing the tradition established by the CBA Congress: simply donate pet food.

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Bring your donation: Any type of dry pet food will be accepted. We recommend a minimum donation of 0.5 kg.
  • Visit the donation spot: Head to the designated Pet Food Donation Station located in the Congress Exhibition Hall.
  • Make your donation: Our partner, Vetnil, will be onsite during exhibition hours to collect donations.
  • Receive your wristband: In exchange for your donation, you’ll receive a wristband granting access to the party.

Free WiFi is available to all Congress delegates throughout the venue. Please be aware that public WiFi capacity is limited to email and web browsing activity.
