Each veterinarian and veterinarian technician should claim only the number of hours of credit actually spent in the educational activity.

Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE)

The 50th World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) is accredited by the Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) to provide the following CE activity for medical specialists. RACE is an institution of the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB): https://www.aavsb.org/continuing-education/about-approved-ce-race/ 

This program 20-1307972 is approved by the AAVSB RACE to offer a total of 119.25 CE Credits, available to any veterinarian, and 41.25 Veterinary Technician CE Credits. This RACE approval is for the subject matter category of Live Course using the delivery method of: Seminar/Lecture & Lab/Wet Lab. This approval is valid in jurisdictions which recognise AAVSB RACE; however, participants are responsible for ascertaining each board’s CE requirements.

CE Credit Calculations for RACE approval are as follows:

  • One full CE credit is awarded for 50- 60 minutes of actual instruction for interactive or noninteractive presentations.
  • 25-49 minutes = 0.50 CE credits
  • 15-24 minutes = 0.25 CE credits

Based on this, the maximum number of CE credits per day is:

  • 25th: 3.5 CE credits
  • 26th: 4 CE credits
  • 27th: 4 CE credits

The maximum number of CE credits for the congress is: 11.5 CE credits
