Your Transportation Card is Valid on:

The Warsaw Metro is one of the fastest and easiest ways to travel around the city. The network consists of two lines, connecting the city centre with key districts across Warsaw. The two lines intersect at Świętokrzyska Station, where passengers can easily change between routes.

The metro typically operates from approximately 05:00 until 01:00, with frequent services throughout the day.

Trams can be numbered from 1 to 79. Numbering from 1 to 39 covers basic connections. Lines from 40 to 49 run at certain times of the day or week (e.g. during peak traffic hours). Trams with other numbers run on special or substitute lines.

All tickets are valid on trams. Trams stop at all stops on a given route. All stops are permanent.

Warsaw Public Transport operates several types of bus services. Standard routes connect destinations across the city, while fast and express routes make fewer stops for quicker travel. Night buses, identified by the letter “N” followed by a route number, operate when regular daytime services have ended.

Some routes serve areas beyond Warsaw and may cross between Zone 1 and Zone 2, so travellers should ensure they are using the appropriate ticket or transport card for their journey.

The same public transportation card is valid across all Warsaw Public Transport bus services, including day and night routes, subject to the applicable ticket zones.

SKM (Szybka Kolej Miejska) is Warsaw’s urban rail network, providing fast connections between the city centre, outer districts, and parts of the wider metropolitan area. SKM lines are identified by the letter “S” followed by a route number.

SKM services operate within Warsaw’s public transportation system, and the same transportation card can be used on SKM trains. Routes may travel through both Zone 1 and Zone 2, so travellers heading beyond Warsaw should ensure they have a ticket valid for the appropriate zone.

In the Metro

  2. Once the gate opens, proceed to the platform.
